Hej folks,
Just a quick note to say that Radoslaw Wincza, a doctoral researcher working with Lancaster University’s MAGIC Lab, is currently looking for volunteers to help them with their latest study: ‘How Do Magicians See the World?,’ and they’re particularly looking for practicing magicians to take part.
The study is conducted online (although it needs to happen on a laptop or desktop computer). It only takes about 10 minutes to complete. All participants can opt to be entered into a lottery to win a free copy of The Psychology of Magic: From Lab to Stage by Dr. Gustav Kuhn and Dr. Alice Pailhès.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Feel free to share this with anyone who you think would be interested And also, if you’re aware of (or running) other research on magic/magicians, please do get in touch as we’d be happy to signal boost.
And additionally, here’s a new video SoMA’s Gustav Kuhn, head of MAGIC Lab. This interview was filmed to accompany David Robson’s New Scientist on the Science of Magic that I shared in our most recent newsletter:
I’ll be in touch soon with a new full newsletter.
Best wishes,
Matt Tompkins
